Training to teach, with a focus on special education. Between research on AI in the classroom, my own teaching materials and hybrid learning support for individual children — this is what I work on and what matters to me.

Moin!

I'm Martin — and I keep explaining differently until it clicks.

I'm training to teach, with a focus on special education (social-emotional development & learning), plus German (linguistics & literature) and general studies. My focus is supportive, individualised learning: patient and sensitive to neurodivergence — especially with children for whom learning or focus doesn't come easily. I work in brain-friendly ways and adapt learning to the child, not the other way round. Because it's almost never the child — usually it's the fit between system and environment that's missing.

What it's about for me

Head, heart and hand.

Head

Grounded in research and professional — support that stands on science, not gut feeling.

Heart

Relationship and respect — learning happens where a child feels seen.

Hand

Hands-on and process-oriented — understanding through doing, step by step.

↳ The biggest goal: learning how to learn — and making myself gradually unnecessary.

Milieu & development

Making life-worlds visible.

Learning never happens in a vacuum. Family, school, language, peers, routines and resources shape what a child can manage right now — and also show where development can grow.

Meeting the child where they areTrusting that they can do it themselves

Not either-or, but both-and.

Research & teaching

Research

Inclusive

Learning support

Hybrid support in German, general studies and maths: sessions on site or online — plus a personal learning area that carries on between appointments. With special-needs deep-dives such as exam anxiety, focus and learning strategies. Focus: special education (social-emotional & learning).

How I work

Not just „a weekly hour“. A path that holds.

1

Get to know each other

First, understanding: where is the child, what's stuck, what's the goal?

2

Your own learning area

A personal profile with level and support priorities — plus a weekly plan and material matched to where you are.

3

Keep going

Regular sessions — and tasks that keep going between appointments.

↳ Two trails side by side: the impression on personality & learning-to-learn grows — the support is allowed to fade over time.

From the research

Children may use AI — but they should learn not to trust it blindly.
